HCCI participated in the Conference of the Association of the European Border regions (AEBR) and the third technical meeting under Project SOCIAL FORCES
On 28 June 2018, in Xanthi, Greece was held Info Day and third technical meeting under Project “ReinFORCE SOCIAL Entrepreneurial Spirit through setting up Innovative Support Structures in the cross-border Territory“ SOCIAL FORCES, according to subsidy contract № В2.9с.04 under the Cooperation Programme Interreg V-A Greece-Bulgaria 2014-2020.
The Project Beneficiary – Xanthi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Greece organized the event in two parts. During the first part was held an Info Day under the Project together with a Conference of the Association of the European Border Regions (AEBR), during which experts from HCCI participated and presented the cross-border region of Haskovo district and the stage of development of social entrepreneurship in the district.
During the second part was held the third technical meeting under the Project, where the partners had the opportunity to get details about the progress of each of the work packages, the upcoming activities and were able to discuss the implementation, the financial management and the project communication. The meeting ran in a constructive spirit of cooperation and exchange of good practices.
The implementation of the Project began in October 2017, with Lead Beneficiary - Regional Development Agency of Rodopi S.A. from Komotini, Greece. Haskovo chamber of commerce and industry is one of 9 Project Beneficiaries. The main objective of the project is to increase social entrepreneurship and to contribute to the growth of employment levels in the cross-border region.
