Haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry held the meeting with the regional business for the twenty-second consecutive time in town of Haskovo.
Among the official guests were Nikolai Koprinkov - Advisor for internal policy and civil society of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Ognian Zlatev - Head of the representation of the EC in Bulgaria, Minko Angelov - Governor of Haskovo district, Dobri Belivanov - Mayor of Haskovo Municipality, Tsvetan Simeonov - President of BCCI, Ambassadors and trade representatives of China, Palestine, Ukraine, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Macedonia, Morocco and Turkey.
The forum was opened by Yancho Yanev - President of HCCI. The discussion was attended by presidents of regional chambers of commerce and industry, diplomatic representatives of the Republic of Bulgaria in Turkey and Greece, representatives of chambers of commerce and industry from Edirne, Kesan and Uzunkopru - Turkey, mayors, representatives of companies from the region.
Tsvetan Simeonov presented the priorities of the Association of the Organizations of Bulgarian Employers for 2017, with emphasis on:
- Improvement of the business environment in Bulgaria to increase the competitiveness of Bulgarian producers;
- Provision of qualified personnel for the economy.
The Secretary General of BCCI Vasil Todorov familiarize businesses with the results of a survey of BCCI for intentions of companies to expand their activities abroad this year. Food production, engineering, construction, chemical industry and textile industry were mentioned by respondents as priorities for cooperation with foreign companies.
After discussion at the ceremony Haskovo Chamber of Commerce honored companies and individuals for high performance and support for thriving regional business:
- WINE CELLAR "Yamantievi" Ivaylovgrad - a dynamic company and investment in the wine industry in 2016 in Haskovo region;
- "MONOLIT TRANSPORT" Ltd., Haskovo - the most significant investment in the transport sector in 2016 in Haskovo region;
- "SKY MONT" Ltd., Haskovo - a commitment to sustainable development of vocational education in 2016 in Haskovo region;
- ASSOCIATION "BUSINESS for HARMANLI" - actively cooperation with HCCI in favor of businesses in the region;
- CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY - Uzunkupru, TURKEY - a long-term partnership under EU programs;
- ANGEL TSANKOV GANCHEV - Director of the Regional Directorate of Interior - Haskovo - a significant contribution to the security and stability of the business environment in the region of Haskovo;
- NIKOLAY GRUDEV - BTA correspondent for Haskovo - active media cooperation with HCCI in favor of businesses in the region.
On February 18, guests of HCCI visited the vineyards of the winery "Castra Rubra”, Kolarovo village, Harmanli, where was held the festive ceremony with grapevine cutting. Participants visited the production facilities of the Winery "Castra Rubra '. The hosts welcomed guests with interesting folklore program and tasting of quality Bulgarian wines.
