Haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Susurluk Chamber of Commerce, Turkey

On 24.01.2019, a business delegation led by Mr. Ilker Kurt – Chairman of Susurluk Chamber of Commerce visited Haskovo by an invitation of Haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI). Susurluk is a small town and a district of Balıkesir Province in northwest Turkey. It is famous for its production of soap and dairy products. The highway between Istanbul and Izmir passes by Susurluk.

The delegation made of 20 businessmen had a work meeting with the Management of Haskovo CCI at the Conference Hall of Haskovo Municipality Administration. Mr. Yancho Yanev – Chairman of HCCI opened the meeting and presented the possibilities for cooperation between the companies from both regions. Dobri Belivanov-Mayor of Haskovo Municipality made a welcome speech to the guests. He presented Haskovo Municipality’s economy.

The members of the Turkish delegation are mainly in the sphere of agriculture, production of meat and dairy products and were interested in cooperation with agricultural producers, producers of machines for the food industry, etc.

During the meeting, HCCI and Susurluk Chamber of Commerce, Turkey signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The meeting ended with a discussion in regards to the spheres for business partnership between the Turkish and Bulgarian companies. The Chairman of Susurluk CC invited HCCI to return the visit.
