Council of the Presidents of Chambers of Commerce and Industry
from cross border region in Haskovo
On the 5th and 6th of April, 2012 in Haskovo has been held meeting of Council of the Presidents of Chambers of Commerce and Industry from cross border region according Activity 6 Project title: Regional Bulgarian – Turkish Business Council “Trakya” – measure for increasing the economic competitiveness of the cross-border region Haskovo – Edirne, Application ref.: 2007CB16IPO008-2009-1-034, Subsidy contract Outgoing No: RD 02-29-135/29.06.2011 under BULGARIA - TURKEY IPA CROSS-BORDER PROGRAMME.
During the meeting has been established Council of the Presidents of Chambers of Commerce and Industry from cross border region BULGARIA - TURKEY. The Council is established to improve coordination between the structures of Chambers of Commerce and Industry from cross border region.
The attendants of the meeting were presidents and representatives from Bulgarian Chambers of Commerce and Industry - Haskovo, Burgas and Yambol, and from Turkish Chambers of Commerce and Industry - Edirne, Babaeski, Uzunkopru, Kesan and Kirklareli. The presidents of Chambers of Commerce and Industry presented the Chambers activity, the business in their municipalities and the work under cross border projects. During the meeting discussion has been held and participants have prepared a proposal for relieving the system of issuing visas for businessmen from the cross border region.
The participants in the first meeting of Council of the Presidents decided to hold the meeting of Council of the Presidents once a year with a different host.
