HASKOVO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY

The Haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized in the town of Haskovo for the sixteen consecutive year the celebrations of the Day of the Grape wine producer - Saint Triffon Zarezan on the 12th and 13th of February 2010.
The participants on the event this year were the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Tsvetan Tsvetanov, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov, President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, The Presidents of the HCCI Mr.Georgi Muzafirov and Mr.Yancho Yanev, The District Governor Mr.Rumen Danev, members of the Bulgarian Parliament, Mayors from the district, representatives of Partnership organizations from the United Kingdom, from Greece and Turkey as well representatives of the local business and of leading companies from all the country. The event attracted big interest from the foreign missions in The Republic of Bulgaria. The Ambassadors of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denmark, Ireland, Macedonia, Nederland, Hrvatska and South Africa took a part as well the trade representatives of Ireland, Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary.
As a part of the celebrations in the Regional Administration – Haskovo a business forum was held, where the President of the BCCI, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov made a speech to the representatives of the business and presented the activity of the BCCI in favour of the business. During the forum a meeting – discussion was held with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Tsvetan Tsvetanov on the theme: “Improvement of the business climate with a focus on the small and medium enterprises (SME’s) and on the security – a precondition for attracting of foreign investments”.
On formal ceremony HCCI conferred the honorary diplomas for high achievements and assistance for prospering of the Bulgarian business to the following companies, organizations and individuals:

1. THE LEICESTERSHIRE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE – for long-lasting cooperation and contribution to the development of bilateral business relations;

2. DR. GRAZYNA CHORAZYKIEWICZ, Ph.D. - Counselor to the Embassy of the Republic of Poland – for long-lasting cooperation and contribution to the development of bilateral business relations;

3. PROF. DR. ENVER DURAN - RECTOR OF TRAKYA UNIVERCITY IN EDIRNE, for contribution to the development of bilateral business relations;

4. WINERY “TERRA TANGRA” LTD – HARMANLI – for investments and achievements in the wine-growing branch;

5. BULMILK TONUS LTD – HASKOVO – for dynamic developing company and investments in the milk manufacturing branch;

6. MR. TODOR BOYADZHIEV, MEMBER OF THE MANAGING BOARD OF HCCI – for outstanding contribution to the attainment of the goals and tasks of the HCCI;

7. MR. BOZHIDAR GROZEV – MANAGER OF THE NEWSPAPER “NOVINAR UG”LTD – for active media cooperation in favor of the regional business.

On the 13th of February the official guests of the HCCI visited the wine yards of Villa Ljubimets, outside the town of Ljubimets, where the Festive holy water ritual and traditional cutting of grapevines was held.
